The
Center is a dream realized
The
South Coast Hospice Board of Directors acknowledged years ago there
was a need in our community for a "healing home" for those
in mourning. A safe place to receive education and support through
the grieving process. With the support of individual donors
and Foundations, the dream became a reality and the Bereavement and Education Center was completed
in September 2000. Since that time, its reputation has spread. Inside its wall several groups meet to share the challenges they have in common. South Coast Hospice hosts varied support groups, such as: Fibromyalgia, Hep C, Breast
Cancer Survivors sponsored by BAH, Cancer Treatment Support Group, and
Suicide Survivor's Group, just to name a few. These, along with
workshops, seminars, and our on-going support to those who are grieving,
fills the rooms with emotional and spiritual healing that palpitates
throughout the Center. It
is genuinely a "healing home"
