"Community Bereavement and Education Center"

Winner of the Governor's 5th Annual "Community Partnership Award"

The Community's home for emotional and spiritual healing after the loss of a loved one.

The Center is a Dream Realized

The South Coast Hospice Board of Directors acknowledged years ago there was a need in our community for a "healing home" for those in mourning.  A safe place to receive education and support through the grieving process.   With the support of individual donors and Foundations, the dream became a reality and the Bereavement and Education Center was completed in September 2000.  Since that time, its reputation has spread.   Inside its wall several groups meet to share the challenges they have in common. South Coast Hospice hosts varied support groups, such as:  Fibromyalgia, Hep C, Breast Cancer Survivors sponsored by BAH, Cancer Treatment Support Group, and Suicide Survivor's Group, just to name a few.  These, along with workshops, seminars, and our on-going support to those who are grieving, fills the rooms with emotional and spiritual healing that palpitates throughout the Center.  It is genuinely a "healing home".Click here for our Bereavement Center Calendar of Meetings and Events

South Coast Hospice Speakers Bureau

South Coast Hospice invites your organization to take advantage of our Speakers Bureau.  We can tailor-make a presentation for any group interested in learning more about South Coast Hospice and Palliative Care and the programs and services we offer.  Our staff of trained professionals will be happy to work with your club, civic group, professional organization, church group, healthcare providers, business organizations and our Coos County Community at-large.  Please call the Outreach Support Department at (541) 269-2986 between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.  Advanced notice is greatly appreciated.  In most cases there is no charge for Speaker's Bureau services, although donations are appreciated.  South Coast Hospice and Palliative Care will make every effort to accommodate your requests.  You may also make your request by email to:  sch@schospice.org
