Purpose
To establish guidelines for assurance of human rights.

Procedure
- SCH complies with all applicable federal civil rights laws, including Section 1557 of the
Affordable Care Act (Section 1557). - SCH will not discriminate against recipients of services on the basis of race, color,
religion, national origin (including limited English proficiency and primary language),
sex (consistent with the scope of sex discrimination described at 45 CFR § 92.101(a)(2)),
sexual preference, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, political belief, veteran
status or age. - SCH will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the
basis of race, color, religion, national origin (including limited English proficiency and
primary language), sex (consistent with the scope of sex discrimination described at 45
CFR § 92.101(a)(2)), sexual preference, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability,
political belief, veteran status or age. - SCH will not discontinue or reduce care provided to a Medicare or Medicaid patient
